Hustle Gang's Doe B was killed early Saturday morning during a shooting in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. The rapper, born Glenn Thomas, was 22 years old.
According to local news station WSFA, Montgomery police say they responded to reports of a shooting on Highland Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Doe B was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Six other people at the scene were hospitalized for gunshot wounds. Police are continuing to investigate.

AL.com reports that the shooting took place at the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill, which was previously the Rose Supper Club before the former institution lost its liquor license and closed down after six people were injured in another shooting there a year ago.
Doe B, who wore an eye patch after being shot in the face three years ago, was signed toT.I.'s Atlanta-based label, Grand Hustle Records. His contributions to the Hustle Gang'sG.D.O.D. compilation made him a rising star on the label, and he continued to build his reputation over the summer with the release of his own mixtape, Baby Jesus.
T.I. responded to news of Doe B's death with a note on Twitter. "RIP to my lil brother Doe B." he wrote. "We gon miss u my n***a. U'll never be forgotten & U WILL NOT DIE IN VAIN. We Love U champ. Always."
Machine Gun Kelly also paid his respects on the social media site, while sounding offon the circumstances of the shooting. "Damn. RIP Doe B. this rap shits crazy right now. Condolences to his family," he wrote. "Clubs keep lettin guns in the club as if that's not where we as artists work. We got families to go home to, fuck is wrong with y'all."
